The dialogue is well written and definitely transports you back to the 70s. Totally sets the stage for the misogyny and SA and honestly makes it easier to continue reading. It was a different era and the dialogue continually reminds the reader of that fact. There are triggering subjects in this book that may leave a reader unsettled. That’s the hallmark of a great story though – it leaves you thinking about it well after you finish reading.

Janet Merran knocked it out of the ballpark! Fantastic! Gripping! Smart! A must read!

Ms. Merran’s book is a quick read, dialog-heavy, distressingly dark. Characters are well-drawn and seem like real people (for better and worse). The black magic and sexual abuse segments are possibly trauma-triggering for some, however. There were passages I had to skim or skip over, they seemed so infused with knowledge of the dark occult and its liturgies and sacraments.

Nice quick read about the dark and deceitful side of radio and fame. Would recommend to anyone interested in a day-read with a touch of witchcraft.

Janet Merran writes from the head and the heart as she uses her creativity and personal experience to craft the story of Dixon as he moves from one part of the country to the other, working as a manager in the radio business.

—Gustavo S., review on Amazon

Merran’s graphic, fictional account of how young, female station employees were sexually trafficked and exploited in 1970s Top 40 stations should be a major motion picture. A parallel tragedy she portrays involves the willingness of station owners to threaten male employees with firing ( or worse) if they did not participate in abusive practices and keep them secret.
