The Mount

One myth. Two voices. No room for both.

A ritual on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount isn’t prophecy—it’s a weapon: an engineered system that mimics divine judgment and would unleash destruction as “revelation.” Drawn back into the shadows when her son Greg is crowned a new doctrinal voice, Charlotte Ansari uncovers a second claimant and a conspiracy spanning Vatican archives and desert sites. When belief becomes programmable, survival may require silence.

Description

A ritual is about to unfold on the Temple Mount in the holy city of Jerusalem. But it isn’t prophecy. It’s a weapon. Hidden beneath Jerusalem’s most contested ground lies a system engineered to mimic divine judgment—one that, if triggered, will unleash destruction disguised as revelation. The world will see a miracle. What they won’t see is the mechanism beneath it.

Charlotte Ansari is called back into the shadows when her son, Greg, is named the unlikely bearer of a new doctrine. As powerful factions race to crown a single voice, Charlotte and her fractured team uncover something far more dangerous: a second claimant.

From Vatican archives to secret desert installations, Charlotte must outpace those who would burn the old world to install a new one. But with holy sites rigged for collapse and false prophets rising, stopping the ritual may not be enough. Because once belief becomes programmable, there’s only one way to stop it. Silence it.

I found this book by accident on Amazon and gave it a shot. Did I like it? The answer is, I now can’t wait to back up and read the first three books in this series.

The book can be read as a standalone thriller but is certainly richer for readers of the other books in the series. The richness of the overarching premise and mythology is something to behold. It exceeds the detailed pseudo-theology of “the Force” in the Star Trek series.

What better way to cause worldwide destruction than to destroy the Temple Mount? But in this thriller, the means of achieving that apocalyptic end is truly amazing, and the results are not what you expect. Don’t begin reading unless you have time to KEEP reading. But be prepared to use your brain during the rocket ride of this tale.
