A Big Follow-Up to His First Calumet Book

John Wingate signed with Calumet Editions after submitting a book proposal for his research about three boys who went missing in Hannibal, Missouri, in 1967. Calumet professionals helped shape the book’s contents and develop its title, Lost Boys of Hannibal.

After having dealt with other publishers—both traditional and those offering self-publishing imprints—John chose Calumet’s unique Author Partnership Program in which author and publisher equally share the rewards and risks of publication. This publishing philosophy was in line with his beliefs and his ambition. You can find details here about submitting your book for consideration.

The potential for hard-working authors being successful after acquisition by Calumet Editions is enormous.

As a first-time author, I experienced fairness and wise counsel after signing with Calumet Editions, and I’m delighted that my books are thriving in a crowded marketplace.

Lost Boys of Hannibal paid back much more than John’s 50% share of publishing costs and is still earning revenues. His second book with Calumet—the controversial follow-up entitled Souls Speak—is already attracting huge attention. We believe our unique method of publishing quality books is the way forward for talented, hard-working authors who don’t want to spend several years finding a publisher before getting their book into the hands of readers.
