
On December 15th, Kirkus Reviews released a listing of titles that were the “Best Indie Mysteries & Thrillers of 2023” and Newell Searle’s book Copy Desk Murders made the grade. Newell said that getting this distinction was ” an exciting, unexpected gift of recognition.”
In the first novel in Searle’s planned trilogy, two brothers—a cop and a journalist—investigate two suspicious deaths in 1984 rural Minnesota.
