I thoroughly enjoyed The Devereaux Decision. It is a wonderful addition to the Susquehanna Virus series. I thought the author did an exceptional job with character development, both with the book itself as well as within the series. Jeremiah Jones’ son Curtik made a particularly interesting evolution from the previous book, changing from a humorous but spoiled teenage brat into a man of action and some intrigue with just enough humor to make him likable. Jeremiah has a much smaller, though still significant role in The Devereaux Decision, but there is no question a torch is being passed to the next generation.

There is nothing simple about the characters in Steve McEllistrem’s latest Susquehanna Virus Series, they are complex and well developed. They are for lack of a better word, human, with flaws, scars and the like. They struggle, sometimes follow orders but always keep moving forward, towards what and for what purpose we learn along the intriguing story. The technology and science is right out of our current day long range Scientific Research and discussions.

I have to say very happy about there being a third book regarding the trials and tribulations of the world as it battles the Susquehanna Virus. The story continued with several turns that I did not see coming. I really appreciated how the author took his time to develop some of the plot twists and laid the proper foundation on which to build on. Very excited to see what happens next, either in this series, or in any new books from this author. Great job—keep it up and thanks for the great read!

As an author myself, I appreciate Steve McEllistrem’s character development, which always adds substance to a novel. I salute his ability to weave suspense and thrills into his work. His treatment of terrorism is a timely subject, hitting home in our own society. A truly great read.
