Every reader can relate to the world Pete Carlson creates. The daughters of two single parents become best friends. While the kids delight in getting together, their parents focus on managing the many demands of their lives. Carlson does a masterful job of exploring the conflicts that arise from the past… This story made me think in new ways.

—Barb Lundy, author of The Fiction of Stone

As in Pete Carlson’s first book, I had a hard time putting it down. It is a beautiful story about a desperately needed friendship, at a difficult time in the lives of two families. The challenges facing this young couple are very relatable, and I found myself rooting for them from start to finish. My husband loved the book as well. A great read!

There are so many phrases in Carlson’s Tearza that are worth highlighting and repeating, so many words of wisdom in this touching love story. Tearza is just what we all need at this time in our world, a book of hope, love and family.

While Carlson’s first novel was a suspense thriller, this one is a deep study of complex relationships. Both styles worked very well…can’t wait for the author’s next book!

This book was a fun read. Great story line and characters. A heartwarming story that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. My wife is now reading it as well. We don’t normally read the same books, but this is one we will and it will be fun to talk about together.
