Julie L’Enfant

Julie L’Enfant’s previous books include The Gág Family: German-Bohemian Artists in America (2002) and Pioneer Modernists: Minnesota’s First Generation of Women Artists (2011), both winners of a Minnesota Book Award. Her most recent book is Nicholas R. Brewer: His Art and Family. A former professor of art history at the College of Visual Arts, she writes both fiction and critical studies. Her work has appeared in such publications as Minnesota History, Nineteenth-Century Art Worldwide: A Journal of Visual Culture, Southern Review, and Woman’s Art Journal. The Dancers of Sycamore Street, a novel, was first published in 1983.
