Robin Schwartzman is an independent artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she also serves as 3D Digital Fabrication and 2D Technical Coordinator and Lecturer in the University of Minnesota’s Department of Art. She is the current President of the International Society of Caricature Artists and co-founder of “A Couple of Putts”. Schwartzman earned her BFA from Syracuse University (2008) and her MFA from the University of Minnesota (2011). Her large-scale, play-inspired installations have been commissioned and exhibited by institutions and events including the Walker Art Center, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Elmhurst Art Museum, BLINK Cincinnati, Northern Spark Festival, Canal Convergence, ArtScape Baltimore, ArtPrize, and Hub-Bub. She is a recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant (2011) and the Jerome Foundation Fellowship for Emerging Artists (2014). Her passion for leisure and play has taken her to amusement parks and miniature golf courses worldwide.
