Jennifer Kimball Gasperini
Jennifer Kimball Gasperini has been a Sun Country Airlines flight attendant since 2016 and joins the many employees who are multi-generational—her son now serves as a Sun Country pilot. Living in South Minneapolis, Gasperini brings both continuity and fresh perspective to Minnesota’s Phoenix, linking the founders’ era with the next generation of aviators who carry forward the airline’s legacy.
With a background in PR, Gasperini worked with Will Steger to execute his Trans-Antarctica Expedition and develop an educational program that reached 25 million followers worldwide. She later founded the Center for Global Environmental Education at Hamline University, St. Paul, creating intensive summer courses and materials for K-12 educators built on adventure learning.
Gasperini has long been captivated by the adventurous spirit of Minnesotans. She partnered with Maggie Hill to preserve the airline’s oral history, transforming Hill’s stories of the early years into a fully realized historical project. She and Hill were coached by the Minnesota Historical Society to conduct oral history interviews. Through her collaboration on Minnesota’s Phoenix, Gasperini serves as both steward and storyteller, bridging Sun Country’s proud past with its vibrant present.
