Alexandra Kisitu is a home-birth mother of two wonderful children, a wife, a writer and an intuitive, and she holds a PhD from the University of Hawai’i. She became enamored with pregnancy and birth after the birth of her daughter, Isabella, and decided to uncover why women are not taught about the magic of home birth. After having her son at home in Hawai’i, she interviewed mothers around the Islands to find out why they also had home births. She uncovered a world of complexity, culture, struggle, spirituality and reclamation, all of which led back to the womb.
